Accessibility statement

Snapdesks GmbH strives to make its website and mobile applications accessible. The digital accessibility statement is required under the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and the German Accessibility Act (Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG).

This accessibility statement applies to: www.thisisatworld.com (“ATWORLD”).

Description of our services

ATWORLD is a Europe-wide network of inspiring locations, events, and services designed for more productive work and a relaxed everyday life.
The platform is aimed at companies, teams and individuals who want to work flexibly – without being tied to an office.

Customers can contact the ATWORLD team via a contact form on the website.

Customers can also register in the ATWORLD app and purchase memberships. Depending on the selected membership, they gain access to a continuously growing network of locations across Europe – including team spaces, coworking spaces, stylish hotel lobbies, selected cafés, and curated partner locations. Booking spaces and services is simple and convenient via the ATWORLD app. Customers can reach out to the support team via email or phone, can give feedback or can report on listed locations. The app is available in both German and English.

Applicable accessibility requirements for the ATWORLD Website

The accessibility requirements are set out in the EAA and the BFSG, in particular in Article 13 EAA in conjunction with Annex I to the EAA, respectively in Section 14 BFSG in conjunction with Section 3(1) BFSG and in the corresponding executive order (Verordnung zum Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSGV)).

  • General accessibility requirements for services:
  • Provide information on the functionality of the service in the format specified by Annex I to the EAA respectively the BFSGV
  • Provide accessible websites and mobile applications, that are perceivable, operable, understandable and robust in line with WCAG 2.1 Level A and AA and EN 301 549.
  • Ensure that accessibility features do not rely solely on sensory characteristics such as colour, shape, or size, and that equivalent alternatives (text, symbols, labels) are provided where necessary.
  • Ensure that communication channels (e.g. GCP contact forms) are compatible with assistive technologies such as screen readers, speech recognition, or keyboard navigation
  • Ensure that captions or alternative text options are available for any video-based or multimedia communication used as part of customer support or user authentication on our website
  • If support services like help desks or call centres are available, services shall provide information on the accessibility of the service in accessible modes of communication (e.g. email, text, or assistive technology compatible contact forms).

  • Specific accessibility requirements for e-commerce services:
  • Provide accessibility information about products and services when provided by the responsible business
  • Ensure that the functionalities for identification, security, and payment are accessible when offered as a service
  • Provide accessible identification methods, electronic signatures and payment services that are accessible

  • Specific accessibility requirements for electronic communications services:
  • Provide real time text in addition to voice communication
  • Provide total conversation where video is provided in addition to voice communication

Information on how to use the website

To ensure accessibility of our website, we implement, among other things, the technical requirements for accessibility as set out in the European harmonized standard EN 301 549 and the corresponding WCAG guidelines, currently WCAG 2.1., with the conformity levels A and AA.

  • Our entire website interface can be operated using the keyboard. Use the up/down or page up/page down keys to scroll. Use the tab key to navigate to links and form fields. We use clear language to make our website understandable.
  • All graphical user interface elements (e.g. buttons, linked images) provide functional alternative text that describes the action or link destination, so that they can be read by screen readers.
  • Icons and other elements of the user interface that perform a function (e.g. magnifying glass, search bar) have labels (WAI-ARIA attributes). This ensures that assistive technologies such as screen readers can convey the information of the user interface element.
  • Except for captions and images of text, text can be resized without assistive technology up to 200 percent without loss of content or functionality.
  • If the website or app requires CAPTCHAs for authentication, our website uses FriendlyCaptcha. This is not an image- or audio-based CAPTCHA, but a click-based solution that is more accessible. Additional alternatives are therefore not necessary.
  • Videos with synchronised image and music usually contain subtitles (e.g. YouTube closed captions).
  • Headings and sub-headings are correctly marked and logically structured in a hierarchical manner. The relationship between the headings can be determined by assistive technologies.
  • When designing our user interfaces, we ensure sufficient color contrast to improve readability.
  • Information is not conveyed exclusively through colour. Coloured markings are supplemented by underlining, symbols and contrasts.
  • All input fields are correctly labeled using <label> elements instead of placeholder text
  •  iFrames include descriptive titles (e.g. “Immobilienscout24 Reviews”)
  • No sounds play automatically on page load, and videos or audio start only after active user interaction (e.g. clicking “play”)
  • Decorative images are marked with empty alt attributes (alt="") or hidden using aria-hidden="true". Inline SVGs are properly titled (<title>, aria-labelledby) and hidden when redundant.
  • Meta-tags allow page scaling (max-scale ≥ 2), ensuring that users can enlarge content without assistive tools.
